75Hard Days 2 & 3
Already breaking my word of debriefing every day. I had some really great insights yesterday too....aaaaand they're gone. No matter, we persevere.

In the spirit of not burying the lead, I'll begin with Key Takeaways: 1. Habits. They're a bitch. Hard to form, easy to break. If you're like some of my friends and jumping into this cold, having no recent history of working out/diet adjustment, be gentle with yourself but keep your focus. Concentration is the name of the game for this first week.
2. Show up. I'm not talking about just showing up for your gym sessions or your meal preps. Show up for yourself on Day 76. This is all an investment. This is starting a savings account when you're a habitual spender. It's alien territory. Keep the focus. I can honestly say, the Me of January 6th would be so goddamn proud of the Me today. And I'm proud of him. He really showed up for me.
3. Use the 75Hard app. It's actually really helpful to keep track of your daily stuff.
Day 2 and 3 were kind of the same in terms of annoying brain shit. "Oooh we should get pizza tonight." No, dummy. "Oh the new Ryan Reynolds movies is out, Pepsi and soft pretzels!" Get a fucking hold of yourself. Truth is, while my diet was "better" it wasn't perfect. Not that it had to be. You'll never it get it perfect. But I still should've had a few more things hashed out in the past 7 months than I do already. Cravings are a bit of a bitch sometimes.
Day 3 was a shit day (Friday the 13th. Figures.) I was definitely in a mood. Slept late which pushed back my first gym session and in turn my second session. Few other annoyances and I was just not feeling this already. But, like clockwork, I got 10 minutes into my first session and it all melted away. Having just got done with my nightly 2 mile walk, I'm damn near giddy with optimism. What a difference a few hours can make.
I think that's pretty much all I had. There's your THOT Leedership for today. I hope you're happy. If you read this all the way through, you showed up for me and I'm so goddamn appreciative of that.
Now, go show up for yourself.
